About Us

The Emerado Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit emergency response department that serves approximately 112 square miles within Grand Forks County, including the City of Emerado. Our agency responds to a wide variety of emergency calls for service including, but not limited to wild land grass fires, medical emergencies, technical rescues, motor vehicle accidents and structure fires.

The Department functions utilizing contracts with the community for emergency services. The funds obtained are used towards maintenance and upkeep on its equipment, paying for its utilities and high fuel costs.

The Department prides itself on its professionalism, resiliency and growth it has had since its inception in 1972.
